I have a model PIXMA MP520 Cannon Printer  and I wish to refill the CLI-8C cartridge. This site recommends removing the chip with a razor blade and sticking it back on with with double sided tape. Obviously this disconnects the contacts from the cartridge. Has anyone tried this procedure with the same model printer and have  been the results and are there any tips to give.
